Dr. Naresh Trehan, a graduate from King George Medical College, is a renowned Cardiovascular and Cardiothoracic surgeon, trained and practiced at New York University Medical Centre Manhattan USA. He is also recognized by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Cardiothoracic Surgery. Dr Naresh Trehan is the Chairman & Managing Director, Medanta - The Medicity, a 1500 bedded multi super speciality institute, which offers cutting edge technology and state of art treatment facilities at an affordable cost. The Institute is governed under the guiding principles of providing medical services to patients with care, compassion and commitment. Before living his dream, Dr. Trehan was the executive director and founder of the Escorts Heart Institute and Research Centre, the centre was conceptualized, created and managed by Dr. Trehan (from 1987 to May 2007). He has received many prestigious awards, including the Padma Shree and the Padma Bhushan Award, presented by the Government of India. He was the President of the International Society for Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery (ISMICS), Minneapolis, USA 2004-05 and has also received Honorary Doctorate Degrees from three prestigious universities.

Dr. Yatin Mehta

Previously Senior Consultant Anaesthesiology and Critical Care at Apollo Hospital, New Delhi and Director, Department of Anaesthesiology and Critical Care at Escorts Heart Institute and Research Centre, New Delhi, Dr Mehta did his M.D. from All India Institute for Medical Sciences, DNB in 1982 and FRCA (London) in 1984 from Queens University Hospital, Nottingham, UK. He then worked for 3 years at Odense University Hospital, Denmark. He was awarded FAMS by National Academy of Medical Sciences, New Delhi in March 2002. He was awarded with FIACTA (Honorary), Fellow in TEE by Indian Association of Cardiovascular Thoracic Anaesthesiologists in 2009 and FICCM (honorary) by Indian College of Critical Care Medicine. He has been a visiting consultant to Uppsala Cardiothoracic Department many times. He is on editorial board of many journals. He has to his credit over 200 publications and 250 presentations at conferences. He is National Co-ordinator for Dr. Rosenthal's International Nosocomial Infection Control Consortium (INICC) and has many international publications in ICU sepsis. He is a teacher and examiner for Fellowship in Critical Care and Cardiac Anaesthesia, National Board of Examinations and ISCCM & IACTA fellowship in India. He was Vice President of ISCCM Delhi branch and has been ISCCM executive committee member for two terms. He was the President (2004-05) of Indian Association of Cardiovascular Thoracic Anaesthesiologists (IACTA).

Dr. Ahlawat to his credit has the unique feat of establishing four successful Urology and Renal Transplant programs in India, at Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow, Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, New Delhi, Fortis Hospitals, New Delhi, and Medanta, the Medicity in New Delhi. His publications and presentations at national and international forums have focused on minimally invasive Urology. An accomplished Endourologist, Laparoscopic and Robotic surgeon, Dr Ahlawat has been a Guest Faculty at most Endourology and laparoscopic workshops in India. He has the distinctive largest single unit experience in the world of conducting more than 1200 Laparoscopic Donor Nephrectomies. At Medanta, he has led successful minimally invasive nephron sparing renal surgery, prostate cancer surgery and bladder cancer surgery programs. A teacher and academician at heart, Dr. Ahlawat initiated Urology training M.Ch. and D.N.B. programs at all previous institutions of his association. He was awarded the Chakraborty Fellowship by Indian American Urological Association for year 1992 and PN Berry Fellowship in 1995. He was honored with the title of Honorary Lecturer conferred to him by the University College London Hospitals (UCLH), U.K. in 1995 during his stint at Institute of Urology and Nephrology.
